Gas Pipeline Kazakhstan-China Transported about 30 bln Cubic Meters of Transit Gas
ASTANA. August 3. KAZINFORM Presently, the construction is completed and the first and second lines of the first section of "Kazakhstan-China" gas pipeline have been put into service, the press service of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan informs.
"Presently, about 30 bln cubic meters of transit gas has been transported," the statement reads.
It should be noted that full completion and launch of the first stage of "Kazakhstan-China" pipeline with construction of gas-compressor stations is planned for the end of 2012. It will have the capacity of 30 bln cubic meters a year with future expansion to 40 bln cubic meters a year, Pm.kz informs.
Besides, the issues of construction of the third line of the gas pipeline with expansion of the capacity up to 65 cubic meters a year are under consideration now.
The project on construction of the Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline is implemented by joint Kazakh-Chinese "Asian Gas Pipeline" LLP established on the parity basis by "KazTransGas" JSC and "Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline" LLP.
